ORMISTON

PARISH

CHURCH

Welcome to Ormiston Church a small church in East Lothian in the centre of Ormiston Village. Our aim is to bring glory to God, by knowing Jesus Christ and making Him known. In all our activities we try to make people welcome and explain the Bible clearly, so that people can understand and respond to its message. We welcome people at any stage of Christian understanding and hope to serve everyone who comes here.

If you would like to find out more about the life of the Church family then, contact us or come along and join us at one of our services where you would be made most welcome.

Services

There are two Sunday services: Both services focus on worship and listening to what God has to say to us as the Bible is explained.

  • Sunday Morning at 9.30am
  • Sunday Evening at 6.30pm

Sunday Morning

We meet in Ormiston Church at 9.30am for the morning service. The congregation is for ages and you would be made most welcome in joining us.

  • The service lasts until about 10.30am, with coffee available afterwards on the first Sunday of each month.
  • Slightly more traditional in style than the evening service, we follow a preaching programme from the Bible. Sometimes we look at a particular theme, book or character; for example just now we are going through Christianity Living Explored
  • All ages start the service together but usually after 20minutes the children leave to continue their activities at Sunday Club.
  • We also hold all-age services on a number of occasions during the year.

Sunday Evening

We meet in the Church at Ormiston  at 6.30pm for an informal service with a relaxed atmosphere. The best of old and modern hymns and songs complement the main message of the evening's Bible talk.

  • The service lasts until about 7.30pm, with coffee available afterwards.
  • A band formed of musicians from both congregations lead the music in the evening.
  •
  • There is an informal communion every six weeks
  • As in the morning we follow a preaching program and at present we are looking at Mark’s Gospel.

Please contact us to find out when the service is on at Tel No : 01875 612031
